apparently we all need to start learning more languages. that's how we will save the world. with words. (on second languages: to speak one is to speak none. good thing i've got two going on ;-))

so i will start your journey with a line from one of my new favorite art songs. i'm not sure why i seem to gravitate to the darker ones (my last favorite: ich grolle nicht - i bear no grudge) mahler truly was a genius; i think i need to explore more of his stuff. so the translation of this title, which is the climax of an awesome song called "um mitternacht" (at midnight)
