so my thesis is basically a critique of a particular piece of canadian legislation. i am looking at what is wrong with it and how it might be made better. this month i am going to be interviewing a variety of people whose work dictates that they use this legislation on a regular basis (and are thus intimately familiar with how bad it is) to see if they agree with what i have found and if they see any barriers to the solutions i have devised (and if they have any additions to my list of solutions).
so i'm interviewing all these people, one (or two) of whom actually work for the agency which sort of administers (but not really...it's hard to explain) this legislation.
it's okay because the badness of the legislation is widely accepted. there is a lot of literature about it (i have all the library books to prove it). i figured someone from the inside would provide me with some really good insight!
but the response to my email informing my insider about my thesis and requesting an interview was as follows:
"there is a lot of good material on our website"
did i mention that i've been working on this thesis since august? yeeeeeaaaah.
thanks for coming out!
